**Description of the practice:**
We use 1-2 words to describe our present moment sensory experience.

**Example notes:**
Hearing
Breathing
Thinking
Relaxing
Body sensations

**Observed Effects / Potential Benefits:**
Noticing sensory phenomena in the present moment, cultivating concentration.

**Origin Story:**
Created by [Kenneth Folk](https://x.com/KennethFolk) - this is one of the first, most basic and most widely used practices, probably created in the very beginning of Social Noting/Meditation. It’s inspired from Mahasi Sayadaw’s method of insight vipassana meditation focused on momentary concentration.
